Daniel J. Hayes
BiographyFormerly a partner in Wood, Lucksinger & Epstein, Daniel J. Hayes has practiced health law since 1981. Mr. Hayes' areas of expertise include financings for health care providers (he has been involved in over $4 billion of financing for health care providers); day-to-day representation of health care providers including hospital systems, free-standing facilities, physician clinics, nursing homes and assisted-care facilities; tax planning in such areas as hospital/physician arrangements, corporate system reorganization, and procurement and maintenance of tax-exempt status for not-for-profit entities; managed care issues for physician-hospital organizations, preferred provider organizations, and independent practice associations; and contractual matters involving health maintenance organizations, management service organizations, and other managed care facilities.
Mr. Hayes is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the American Bar Association, the National Association of Bond Lawyers, the American Health Lawyers Association, and the Houston Bar Association.
He is a former member of the Bellaire City Council and was also a member of the Planning & Zoning Committee of the City of Bellaire.
