T. Ling Chwang
BiographyT. Ling Chwang focuses his practice on counseling clients in all aspects of intellectual property law, including: patentability, patent infringement, and validity opinions; copyright, trademarks, trade dress, and trade secrets; preparing intellectual property licenses and assignments; preparing and prosecuting U.S. and international patent applications; and procuring U.S. and international trademarks.
Dr. Chwang has particular expertise in the chemical, biochemical, pharmaceutical, diagnostics, and mechanical arts. He has participated in litigating patent infringement actions pertaining to chemical distillation columns, radar detectors, pull-apart fragrance samplers, polymeric adhesives, and liquid crystal displays.
Prior to entering the legal profession, Dr. Chwang worked for eleven years in cancer chemotherapy research, and is a U.S. patent holder in that field.
Dr. Chwang is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the District of Columbia Bar, the Dallas Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the New York Academy of Science, the American Chemical Society, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and the American Association for Cancer Research.

Dr. Chwang is a frequent author and lecturer, having published in various law and scientific journals, as well as in newspapers including The New York Times and The Dallas Morning News. He is a lecturer on intellectual property law at the University of Texas at Arlington.
