T. Ling Chwang


T. Ling Chwang focuses his practice on counseling clients in all aspects of intellectual property law, including: patentability, patent infringement, and validity opinions; copyright, trademarks, trade dress, and trade secrets; preparing intellectual property licenses and assignments; preparing and prosecuting U.S. and international patent applications; and procuring U.S. and international trademarks.

Dr. Chwang has particular expertise in the chemical, biochemical, pharmaceutical, diagnostics, and mechanical arts. He has participated in litigating patent infringement actions pertaining to chemical distillation columns, radar detectors, pull-apart fragrance samplers, polymeric adhesives, and liquid crystal displays.

Prior to entering the legal profession, Dr. Chwang worked for eleven years in cancer chemotherapy research, and is a U.S. patent holder in that field.
