Biography Chad Smith is an experienced real estate lawyer who has helped both sellers and purchasers of all types of real estate, including raw land, office complexes, industrial projects and retail centers. Mr. Smith is regularly involved in retail, office, warehouse and ground lease negotiations on behalf of both landlords and tenants. He has experience in real estate development, including the negotiation and preparation of declarations of covenants, conditions and restrictions, easement agreements, development agreements, construction agreements and the formation of property owners' associations. He has represented both borrowers and lenders in residential and commercial lending transactions including construction loans, development loans, and purchase and sale transactions, as well as both wind energy development companies and individual landowners during negotiations of wind energy leases. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Real Estate Section of the Travis County Bar Association, the Texas Bar Foundation, the Real Estate Council of Austin, Coastal Conservation Association - Austin and also previously served on the Board of Directors for Junior Achievement of Central Texas.
