Sara K. Hollan Named to My Very Own Book Board of Directors
 | Jackson Walker partner Sara K. Hollan was recently named to the board of directors of My Very Own Book, a nonprofit organization that runs reading incentive programs in elementary schools in low-income neighborhoods throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
As a member of the board, Ms. Hollan will work with other members to promote the organization's effort to get kids to read outside of school hours and put books in the hands of underprivileged children. To learn more about My Very Own Book, CLICK HERE.
In addition to her community work with this organization, Ms. Hollan also volunteers as an instructor at the Literacy Institute for Texas (LIFT) teaching adult literacy classes and is a member of the State Fair of Texas' raffle committee, which raises money for scholarships. Ms. Hollan is a member of the Litigation group at Jackson Walker, where she focuses her practice on corporate and construction litigation as well as related appellate work. Ms. Hollan's corporate litigation practice involves breach of contract and business tort disputes. Her construction practice involves cases relating to construction defects, breaches of contract, and mechanic's liens. She received her B.S. from Texas A&M University and her J.D., magna cum laude, from Baylor University Law School. |
