played key roles at the Institute for Energy Law of The Center for American and International Law's Midstream Oil and Gas Law Conference
on Dec. 7, 2012, in Houston, Texas.
As co-chair of the conference, Mr. Pearson helped organize the conference and served as moderator of a portion of the program. Mr. Rhem gave a speech on "Environmental and Clean Air Regulations Affecting the Midstream," where he reviewed EPA and TCEQ air quality regulations affecting the oil and gas industry and steps companies can take to comply with these regulations. Mr. Pearson has practiced in the area of energy law since 1978, representing numerous Texas-based, national, and international energy companies and financial institutions in a broad range of transactional matters. Mr. Pearson received his B.A., with high honors
, and his J.D. degrees from The University of Texas.
Mr. Rhem is an associate in the environmental & legislative practice group at Jackson Walker. Mr. Rhem advises clients in the energy development, oil and gas, mining, waste and agriculture industries regarding compliance with federal and state environmental laws and regulations. He received his B.A. from the University of Richmond and his J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center.
