Peter Hosey Speaks to the American Association of Petroleum Landmen on the Texas Recording Statute

Jackson Walker partner Peter Hosey spoke at the American Association of Professional Landmen's Field Landman Seminar on Mar. 7, 2013, in Corpus Christi, Texas. on the topic of Texas recording statutes.

Mr. Hosey spoke on "Texas Recording Statutes." The American Association of Professional Landmen (AAPL) is a professional organization that brings together more than 17,000 landmen and other land–related experts through professional development and service. The mission of AAPL is to promote the highest standards of performance for all land professionals, to advance their stature, and to encourage sound stewardship of energy and mineral resources. Mr. Hosey has more than 33 years of experience representing clients in the energy and natural resources area. He has advised clients concerning all aspects of exploration, production, transportation, processing, sale and marketing of oil and gas and other natural resources. Mr. Hosey not only advises clients with regard to oil and gas matters, but also has many years' experience with regard to the exploration, production, transportation and leasing of hard minerals, including coal and uranium. Mr. Hosey has also advised clients concerning the sale and purchase of natural gas storage facilities and secondary recovery operations. He advises clients regarding the formation of and use of various entities, both public and private, and the financing of the acquisition and development of oil and gas, coal, uranium, and related assets. Mr. Hosey received his B.A. from the University of Texas and his J.D. from St. Mary's University School of Law.
