Clark Pulliam Speaks on Protecting Earnest Money Deposits and 1031 Funds

Jackson Walker attorney Clark Pulliam spoke at the Real Estate Section of the Tarrant County Bar Association. The presentation was January 20 at The Fort Worth Petroleum Club.

Mr. Pulliam presented "Protecting Your Earnest Money Deposits and 1031 Funds." The presentation covered recent changes in FDIC deposit insurance coverage, maximizing FDIC deposit insurance coverage, commingled deposit accounts held by the escrow agent, and maximizing protection for 1031 funds. Mr. Pulliam's practice consists primarily of representing public and private companies, financial institutions, and individual investors in various real estate transactions and financial matters, including the acquisition, development, and sale of commercial, industrial, and residential real estate and other assets. He has experience with forming entities to acquire, own and develop real estate; documenting and negotiating office leases on behalf of landlords and tenants; and negotiating and documenting financial relationships on behalf of borrowers. Mr. Pulliam received his B.B.A. degree in Finance and Entrepreneurship from Baylor University. He received his J.D. degree from Southern Methodist University.
