Joel Heydenburk Selected to Participate in Leadership Fort Worth

Jackson Walker attorney Joel Heydenburk has been accepted to participate in Leadership Fort Worth (LFW) for the 2009-2010 class.

The Leadership Class consists of a ten-month training effort for approximately 50 experienced civic volunteer leaders selected to represent all aspects of the community: business/volunteer, profit/non-profit, male/female, Caucasian/Hispanic/African-American, management/labor, etc. The purpose of LFW is to provide Fort Worth with diverse and enlightened leadership. LFW is based on the concept of community trusteeship. This concept says that leaders must function as trustees, committing themselves to making their communities better places to live. Mr. Heydenburk focuses his practice on real estate and finance transactions. He regularly represents landlords in the preparation and negotiation of commercial office, retail, and industrial property leases in Texas and other states across the nation. His experience consists of representing buyers and sellers in acquisitions and sales of commercial properties ranging from $1 million and exceeding $200 million. He also has experience in the preparation of loan documents and associated real estate documents for a large commercial mortgage lender. Mr. Heydenburk was selected as one of Texas Monthly magazine's "Rising Stars" (2008-2009). He was also named a "Top Attorney" by Fort Worth, Texas magazine (2006-2008). Mr. Heydenburk earned his B.B.A. degree from Texas Christian University. He received his M.B.A. and his J.D. degree from Texas Tech University, where he was Business Manager of the Texas Tech Law Review.
