Celebrating 125 Years
 

Jackson Walker partner Sue Snyder has been honored with one of the Austin Business Journal's most prestigious awards, the 2009 Profiles in Power: Central Texas Women of Influence Award. The 15th annual awards were presented on July 24 at a special reception in Austin, Texas.

The Profiles in Power awards honor Central Texas' most accomplished businesswomen for their significant business, community, and personal achievements. From 150 nominations, 25 exceptional women were chosen this year in five categories. Ms. Snyder was a winner in the "Leading the Charge" category, which recognizes women who have demonstrated outstanding leadership qualities, serving both the private and public sectors.

In her law practice, Ms. Snyder represents companies in domestic and international transactions. She specializes in companies involved in technology and energy with general corporate matters and also provides advice for companies sending people, products and monies in the international arena. Her experience spans regulatory and permitting issues; international legislation; drafting multilateral country agreements; tariff and trade matters; establishing international public/private partnerships; and handling policy issues regarding business and environmental matters in various countries. She is currently serving on the Board of Directors of the Capital Area Food Bank and on the Board of Governors of Lifeworks, in addition to other community activities.
