Jackson Walker L.L.P. is pleased to welcome visiting attorney Rodrigo Senese from the Almeida Corporate Law firm in Brazil.

Through Jackson Walker's affiliation with Globalaw, Mr. Senese is spending three weeks in Jackson Walker's Houston, Austin, and Dallas offices. Prior to his visit, Mr. Senese completed a six-week program of The Academy for American and International Law sponsored by the Center for American and International Law in Plano.

Mr. Senese, who focuses his practice on Employment and Labor Law, said the attorneys at Jackson Walker have helped him gain insights that will benefit his clients, many of which are U.S.-based companies doing business in Brazil.

"I've been able to learn a little bit about everything," Mr. Senese said. "Labor and employment law is very different here compared to Brazil, as is the court system in general. Sharing this information will enable me to better explain the differences in how things work. This has been a great opportunity, and I will return to Brazil and apply this knowledge with my clients there."

Over the past few months, Mr. Senese has also had a chance to enjoy Texas' legendary hospitality.

"The lawyers here are very friendly, and have received me very well, and that's one of the things that stands out at Jackson Walker," he said. "Texans have also received me well. I can tell that they are very proud of their land – you see it everywhere, even in the supermarket with the products that are made here. I've also become addicted to Whataburger and Dr. Pepper. That will be hard to leave behind."
