Jackson Walker is sponsoring the Spring 2009 Technology Entrepreneurship Boot Camp
on February 20 from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Business Building on the University of Texas at San Antonio campus. The University of Texas at San Antonio's Center for Innovation and Technology Entrepreneurship (CITE) hosts the event.
The daylong boot camp will feature expert presentations on fundamental entrepreneurship skills including opportunity identification, business plan basics, intellectual property, introduction to business law and funding a technology start-up.
The event is geared toward new business owners who use key underlying technologies based on solid science and engineering. A panel will discuss what investors are looking for when funding a new start-up, and a networking reception will wrap up the day's events.
Paul Castella, co-founder of CardioSpectra, Xenotype Diagnostics, Aeon Bioscience, and ViroXis Corporation, will present the keynote address at this spring's CITE Boot Camp
