Elaine Howard has been elected Vice Chair of the Houston Bar Association's (HBA) Labor & Employment Section. Before her election to this position, Ms. Howard served as Secretary for this section of the HBA, and she has also served as its Treasurer and Membership Chair.
The Labor and Employment Section of the HBA is comprised of 444 attorneys, in-house counsel, arbitrators and mediators, all concentrated on labor and employment law. The group is dedicated to providing current and topical CLE seminars, as well as social opportunities for labor and employment attorneys throughout the Houston area. Ms. Howard is a trial attorney focusing on commercial litigation, employment law, and real estate disputes. In the employment context, she has handled claims involving racial discrimination, racial harassment, sexual harassment, gender discrimination, defamation, disability discrimination, age discrimination, and Sabine Pilot. Ms. Howard received her B.A. in Economics from Rice University, and she received her J.D.,
magna cum laude, from the University of Houston Law Center.
