Jackson Walker Elects Ten New Partners


DALLAS – Jackson Walker L.L.P. announces the election of ten attorneys to the firm's partnership. From the Dallas office, Virginia Alverson, Heather Forrest, Andrew Graham, Amy Roberts, and Debbie Robinowitz were named partners. From the Fort Worth office, Amanda Bush and Danielle Needham were named partners. From the Houston office, Brian Harris and Jason Johns were named partner as well as Steve Ramon from the San Antonio office.

Virginia Alverson
Virginia Alverson, Dallas, is a member of the Health Care practice group. She focuses her practice on providing legal services to the healthcare industry and has advised clients regarding the following: Medicare and Medicaid coverage and reimbursement, corporate compliance and governance, managed care contracting, public law, physician employment issues, and special regulatory issues affecting health care providers and suppliers, including fraud and abuse. Ms. Alverson received her B.S. degree from Vanderbilt University and her J.D. degree from the University of Texas School of Law.

Amanda Bush
Amanda Bush, Fort Worth, is a member of the Litigation practice group. She represents clients in a variety of matters including complex commercial litigation, intellectual property litigation defending against patent infringement, copyright infringement, trademark infringement, and trade secret misappropriation claims, and media and First Amendment litigation defending against libel, slander, invasion of privacy, misappropriation of likeness, business disparagement, and infliction of emotional distress claims. Ms. Bush also regularly handles appeals in state and federal appellate courts. Ms. Bush received her B.A. degree from The University of Texas and her J.D. degree from The University of Texas School of Law.

Heather Forrest
Heather Forrest, Dallas, is a member of the Bankruptcy practice group. Her practice is concentrated in representing secured and unsecured creditors. She has extensive experience in bankruptcy litigation including obtaining relief from the automatic stay, addressing adequate assurance issues for utility providers, and defending preferential and avoidable transfer actions. Ms. Forrest received her B.S. degree in paralegal studies from Minnesota State University at Moorhead in 1995, and both a bachelor of Civil Law degree and a J.D. degree from Louisiana State University in 2003.

Andrew Graham
Andrew Graham, Dallas, is a member of the Litigation practice group. His practice principally focuses on complex litigation in both trial and appellate courts. Mr. Graham received his B.A. from Southern Methodist University, where he was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa and the Hyer Society. He received his M.A. from the University of Chicago, his M.St. from Oxford (Oriel College), and his J.D. from The University of Texas School of Law.




Brian Harris
Brian Harris, Houston, is a member of the Real Estate practice group. His practice focuses on complex commercial real estate matters, including the acquisition, disposition, and leasing of multi-million dollar properties. He has also represented clients in the acquisition of ground lease interests and mixed-use projects. Mr. Harris also regularly represents building owners in a variety of operational matters, including property management and construction. Mr. Harris received his B.A. degree from Truman State University and his J.D. degree from the University of Texas School of Law.

Jason Johns
Jason Johns, Houston, is a member of the Litigation practice group. His practice focuses primarily on construction litigation representing contractors, owners, and lenders in disputes involving breach of contract, mechanic's liens, bonds, collections, delay claims, construction defects, contract termination or abandonment, change orders, differing site conditions, and coverage issues. Mr. Johns also has experience in business litigation, real estate litigation, insurance disputes, complex pre- and post-judgment collection matters, and intellectual property litigation. Mr. Johns received his B.A. degree in Philosophy from Valdosta State University (GA) and his J.D. degree from Texas Tech University School of Law.

Danielle Needham
Danielle Needham, Fort Worth, is a member of the Labor practice group. Her practice primarily consists of representing employers in a wide variety of state and federal labor and employment law matters, including the Fair Labor Standards Act, Title VII of the Civil Rights Acts of 1964 and 1991, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Americans With Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the anti-retaliation provisions of the Texas Workers' Compensation Act, and other state and federal statutes. Ms. Needham received her B.A. degree and her J.D. degree from Texas Tech University.

Steve Ramon
Steve Ramon, San Antonio, is a member of the Litigation practice group. He focuses his practice on complex commercial and international law litigation. Mr. Ramon represents businesses in a variety of commercial litigation matters including contractual disputes and business torts such as fraud, negligent misrepresentation, tortious interference, and breach of fiduciary duties. His clients include both domestic and international businesses in the technology, health care, financial, and chemical industries. Mr. Ramon received his B.A. degree from The University of Texas at Austin and his J.D. degree from the University of Houston Law Center.

Amy Roberts
Amy Roberts, Dallas, is a member of the Litigation practice group. She represents clients in a variety of matters including complex commercial litigation, intellectual property litigation, probate litigation, oil and gas litigation, and arbitrations before the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). Ms. Roberts also has experience handling bankruptcy adversary proceedings, real estate disputes, and antitrust matters. Ms. Roberts received her B.A. degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She received her J.D. degree from the University of Nebraska College of Law.

Debbie Robinowitz
Debbie Robinowitz, Dallas, is a member of the Finance practice group. Her practice primarily consists of structuring, documenting, and negotiating finance transactions including a wide array of financing transactions for the development and construction of regional shopping centers, lifestyle centers, entertainment venues, hotels, apartment complexes, office buildings, industrial projects, churches, golf courses, and other resort properties. She received her B.A. degree from the University of Pennsylvania and her J.D. degree from Southern Methodist University.
