Richard F. Dahlson manages the firm's Corporate & Securities group, which is composed of over 100 attorneys. His practice is transactional in nature and includes representing both purchasers and sellers in leveraged buy-outs and mergers and acquisitions, as well as representing entrepreneurs, investors and investment funds (equity funds, hedge funds and venture funds) in financing transactions. Mr. Dahlson's corporate practice is complemented by his extensive experience in securities matters, including public offerings, private placements, and public reporting compliance. He has represented both companies and investment bankers in over 30 initial public offerings and over 40 PIPE transactions.
Mr. Dahlson's clients include large and established companies as well as startups. However, his expertise is in representing emerging growth companies. For example, he represents a technology company which over ten years has gone from a startup to raising six rounds of capital, going public, raising three further rounds of capital, and making numerous acquisitions and divestitures.
Over the last ten years, the economy has been globalized, and Mr. Dahlson's practice has expanded accordingly. He has been involved in numerous international transactions, including in Europe, the Middle East, South America, Australia, China, Korea, Mexico and Canada. As a transactional attorney, Mr. Dahlson is involved in a wide range of industries, but in particular, he has developed extensive knowledge in the technology and telecommunications industry.
