If an employer wants to offer a new group health plan while an employee is on an EPSLA or EFMLEA leave, what must the employer do?
The employer must offer the employees on an EPSLA or EFMLEA leave the opportunity to enroll in the new group health plan and must provide such individuals with notice of the opportunity to enroll in such new benefit in the same manner it would be offered to eligible employees who are not on such a leave.
