Jackson Walker Celebrates Dallas Theater Center’s Tony Award

September 27, 2017 | Spotlight

For more than 10 years, Jackson Walker has maintained a strong relationship with the Dallas Theater Center (DTC), winner of the 2017 Regional Theatre Tony Award®. The DTC’s staff recently brought the Tony Award to Jackson Walker’s Dallas office, allowing the firm’s attorneys and staff to see the trophy in person. The firm’s relationship with the DTC began when the firm was asked to become one of the theater’s Corporate Sponsors. Several of Jackson Walker’s Dallas attorneys were already supporters of the DTC, so the relationship was a clear match. Partner Bob Cohan played a significant role in strengthening the ties between the firm and the theater, serving two three-year terms on its Board of Trustees. Once Bob reached the two-term limit for the Board of Directors, partner Suzan Kedron then joined the Board. She also serves on the Executive Committee. “This is a unique Tony Award because it does not honor a single play, performance, director, or design, it honors a body of work over a number of years,” said Jeff Woodward, Managing Director of DTC in a press release. “This award honors our terrific and talented staff and our dedicated board of trustees led by Julie Hersh and Jeff Bragalone. It honors our adventurous audience, especially our subscribers. It honors the strong and consistent support we receive from our donors, and it honors the great city of Dallas.” Located in the Dallas Arts District, Jackson Walker’s Dallas office maintains a commitment to supporting the DTC as well as several other arts organizations.
