Jackson Walker Recognized as a 2016 “Champions of Justice” Law Firm

The Commission presented awards to the winning firms at a reception on October 24 in Austin. Supreme Court of Texas Chief Justice Nathan Hecht and Justice Eva Guzman presented the award, and made special note of Jackson Walker’s long history of supporting the Access to Justice campaign. “I’m very proud of the work Jackson Walker attorneys do to help less fortunate members of our community. We sincerely appreciate the recognition by the Commission and look forward to continuing our relationship,” said Brian Kilpatrick, chair of the firm’s pro bono committee.                            Champion of Justice Award) Created by the Supreme Court of Texas in 2001, The Texas Access to Justice Commission is focused on creating and implementing initiatives that expand access to justice in civil legal matters for low-income Texans. The Commission’s aid helps those with critical legal issues such as spouses and children of domestic abuse, elderly citizens who have been denied life–sustaining prescriptions, veterans who are not able to receive critical medical benefits, and families whose homes are facing wrongful foreclosure.
