Jackson Walker Represents Roger Clemens in Defamation Settlement

Jackson Walker helped former Major League Baseball pitcher Roger Clemens successfully resolve a defamation lawsuit brought by his former trainer, Brian McNamee, in a high-profile legal battle that has spanned more than seven years.

Mr. Clemens will not be required to contribute any money or release any claims against Mr. McNamee under the terms of a confidential settlement reached on March 17, 2015, in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York.

Jackson Walker partner Chip Babcock represented Mr. Clemens in the settlement negotiations, which received extensive press coverage, including articles in The New York Times, New York Daily News, Houston Chronicle, ESPN.com, Newsday, and many more national and international publications.
