At the PRINT 17 conference in Chicago, IL, partner Nate St. Clair was part of a panel on patent trolling in the printing industry. The panel was led by Cal Poly Professor Emeritus and intellectual property expert Dr. Harvey Levenson. Dr. Levenson is the author of the whitepaper titled, “A Case Study of Patent Abuse: Patent Trolls on the Run — The Printing Industry Is Winning,” in which he named Nate a “Printing Industry Hero” for his success in defending printing companies against patent trolls.

The panel discussion was aimed at original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and print service providers of software-driven imaging technology. Nate, alongside inventor Joyce Vogt, discussed his experience in dealing with patent trolls to help attendees understand the patent troll problem and what to watch for.
