Mark BeMent Named Finalist for Dallas CIO of the Year

Jackson Walker is pleased to announce Chief Information Officer Mark BeMent has been named a Finalist in the Large Corporate category for the 2022 Dallas CIO of the Year ORBIE Awards. Presented by the Dallas CIO Leadership Association, the event will be held to recognize the “best-of-the-best” in North Texas technology leadership on Friday, February 25, 2022.

The CIO of the Year ORBIE Awards is the premier technology executive recognition program in the nation. Since its creation in 1998, over 1,800 CIOs have been named finalists and over 400 CIO of the Year winners have received the ORBIE Award. This year, 230 nominations were received, and winners will be selected based on:

  • leadership and management effectiveness;
  • business value created by technology innovation;
  • the size and scope of responsibilities; and
  • engagement in industry and community endeavors.

This is the second time Mark was named a finalist for the ORBIE Award.

In his role at Jackson Walker, Mark provides leadership for the continued advancement of an innovative, strategic, and secure environment. His responsibilities include governance and policy, resource allocation and management, risk management, financial analysis, and operational improvement.

“Mark and his team have made an enormous contribution to the success of the Firm as we navigated the pandemic and this new world of remote work,” said Wade Cooper, managing partner of Jackson Walker.

Outside of Jackson Walker, Mark serves as a member of the Forbes Technology Council.

Mark received his B.S. in Management Information Systems at Kansas State University.
