Jackson Walker successfully represented Cypress Growth Capital in the creation and launch of its second royalty-based growth capital fund, CGC Royalty Investments II, which was announced on May 7, 2014.
The fund closed with $50 million in capital commitments from a premier family office investor group, all of whom participated in Cypress Growth Capital’s first royalty-based fund, which was successfully deployed over the last three years.
Dallas-based Cypress Growth Capital is the first, largest and most active royalty-based growth capital firm in the United States. An alternative to traditional debt and equity instruments, royalty-based growth capital offers entrepreneurs access to significant capital while preserving equity and control.
Jackson Walker Corporate & Securities partners Rick Dahlson and Nicole Brennig represented Cypress Growth Capital in the transaction, which demonstrates the firm’s depth of experience representing sponsors in forming private equity funds and raising private equity capital.
