Jackson Walker has successfully represented Zachry Group in the acquisition of Ambitech Engineering Corporation, a Chicago-based, global full-service provider of engineering, design, project management, procurement, and construction management services. Zachry has acquired all of Ambitech’s global businesses, including those in India, the Philippines, and the Middle East.
In negotiating the international aspects of the deal, the Jackson Walker team called on its Globalaw™ affiliates Link Legal in India, Zambrano Gruba Caganda & Advincula in the Philippines, and Apex Juris in the Middle East for advice on foreign law matters. Globalaw™ is a worldwide network of law firms that provides quick and reliable advice on laws, rules and regulations around the globe. As a result, the team was able to execute the acquisition seamlessly across borders.
The Jackson Walker team included attorneys Patrick Tobin, Shari Mao, Ron Kerridge, Ann Leafstedt, Robert Soza, Jim Griffin, and Taelor Allen. Research Analyst Eve Searls and paralegal Laura Aguilar provided additional assistance to the Jackson Walker team. Zachry was also advised by PriceWaterhouse Coopers with respect to financial and accounting due diligence and Ernst & Young with respect to tax matters.
