Retta Miller, head of Jackson Walker’s Litigation Section, stated, “The addition of Wasif adds considerable bench strength to our IP litigation practice. Our clients will greatly benefit from his strong litigation skills coupled with his technical background.”
Trial lead Chip Babcock said, “We are excited to have Wasif join our intellectual property group at Jackson Walker. He brings intellect, experience and remarkable energy to his practice which will complement and support the firm’s growing presence in the Eastern District of Texas and other areas where the IP battles of tomorrow are being fought.”
Managing Intellectual Property describes Wasif as an “[experienced] patent litigator” and recently named him to its 2016 shortlist of “Outstanding IP Litigators” in North America, a recognition given to a small group of top practitioners in the country.
Wasif joins Brit Nelson, another recent lateral addition to Jackson Walker’s intellectual property practice, to further supplement the services the Houston office can provide to clients. The two are among several high-profile attorneys who have made the move to Jackson Walker in the past two years, as the firm’s Texas-friendly culture and strong financial management have proven to be a strong draw for top-tier attorneys looking to both expand their practices and better serve existing clients.
Prior to joining Jackson Walker, Wasif was a Principal at Fish & Richardson P.C. Wasif earned his B.S. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, with honors, from the University of Houston and his J.D. degree from the University of Houston Law Center.
