As esteemed members of the legal community gathered for the American Inns of Court Celebration of Excellence held at the Supreme Court of the United States, Julia W. Mann accepted an award on behalf of the William S. Sessions American Inn of Court for earning Platinum-level designation in the 2018-2019 Achieving Excellence program. Hosted by the Honorable Neil M. Gorsuch on the evening of October 26, 2019, the black tie event celebrated individuals such as Julia who have contributed their time, energy, and resources to furthering the ideals of the American Inns of Court.
“To be invited to the Supreme Court is an incredible honor. This was such a special once-in-a-lifetime experience, and I am grateful to have represented the William S. Sessions Inn in accepting this award,” Julia said.

Notably, this was the first time in the history of the William S. Sessions American Inn of Court that the chapter has achieved Platinum-level designation—the highest level in the Achieving Excellence program. During Julia’s tenure as president, the Executive Board worked to build the chapter’s effective practices in administration, communications, program development, mentoring, and outreach activities. As a direct result, the Inn’s status elevated from the fourth-tier Bronze to Platinum.
As stated by William C. Koch, Jr., President of the American Inns of Court, “An accomplishment of this magnitude takes the engagement, involvement and support of the entire Inn membership – focused by strong leadership. Your dedication brings us one step closer to achieving our shared vision of a legal profession and judiciary dedicated to professionalism, ethics, civility, and excellence.”

Meet Julia
Julia W. Mann serves as both the managing partner and Trial & Appellate Litigation chair of Jackson Walker’s San Antonio office. An experienced litigator, Julia represents clients on both sides of the docket and has appeared in matters in 40 counties across Texas and Oklahoma. Outside her practice, Julia volunteers her time with the Bexar County Women’s Bar Association, the Nominating Committee for the San Antonio Bar Association, and the William S. Sessions American Inn of Court. She is also a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation and the San Antonio Bar Foundation.
In recognition of her work, Julia has been among The Best Lawyers in America in the area of Commercial Litigation since 2018. In addition, she was named to Thomson Reuters’ Super Lawyers from 2012-2019 and its “Top Women Attorneys in Texas” list in 2020.
