Lionel M. Schooler and Curt Langley Named Top Lawyers by “Houstonia” Magazine

Mr. Schooler was named a top lawyer for Employment/Labor, and Mr. Langley was named a top lawyer for Litigation. Houstonia's annual "Top Lawyers" list is compiled based on Houston-area attorneys' Avvo.com ratings, which factor in peer endorsements as well as experience, education, training, speaking, publishing, and awards. Lonnie has practiced law for more than 35 years and has developed significant experience in labor and employment law as well as business litigation (with an emphasis in federal practice). He also has extensive experience in arbitration as an arbitrator on the Commercial and Employment Panels of the American Arbitration Association, and as an advocate and is now certified as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators for international arbitration matters. Lonnie has tried over 50 jury and non-jury cases, and he has argued numerous appeals in the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and in the Texas Courts of Appeals. He received his B.A. in history, with departmental honors, from the University of Pennsylvania and his J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law. For more than 20 years as a trial lawyer, Curt has developed a diverse commercial litigation practice handling lawsuits and arbitrations across Texas and in various other states across the country. Curt has handled commercial litigation matters including: real estate litigation, healthcare litigation, energy litigation, and much more. Curt is a frequent author and speaker on such legal topics as lender liability, litigation with financial institutions, collections practice, and legal ethics. Curt received his B.B.A. from The University of Texas at Austin and received his J.D. from The South Texas College of Law, where he was a Note and Comment Editor for the South Texas Law Review.
