Emilio Nicolas Elected to Advisory Board of Texas Accountants and Lawyers for the Arts

Jackson Walker associate Emilio Nicolas was elected to the advisory board of Texas Accountants and Lawyers for the Arts (TALA).

As a member of the advisory board, Mr. Nicolas will provide advice, suggestions and input to the executive director and board of directors of TALA. TALA was formed in 1979 to support the cultural community in Texas by providing volunteer legal and accounting services, educational programs and publications to artists, nonprofit arts organizations and other art constituents. Mr. Nicolas represents a variety of individuals and businesses in the entertainment, media and technology industries. His practice includes advising clients on the management, protection and enforcement of their intellectual property rights; and representing clients in their entertainment, media, and intellectual property transactional and litigation matters. Mr. Nicolas received his B.S. degree in business administration from Trinity University; his M.S. degree in media management from Syracuse University S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications; and his J.D. degree, magna cum laude, from the Syracuse University College of Law, where he was a member of the Justinian Honorary Law Society and the Syracuse University College of Law Student Senate. He was also an executive editor of Syracuse Science & Technology Law Reporter.
