Christopher Rourk Appointed to State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology

Jackson Walker partner Christopher Rourk has been appointed by Governor Rick Perry to serve on the State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.

The board licenses and regulates speech-language pathologists and audiologists, including assistants and interns in speech-language pathology and audiology. Mr. Rourk was appointed on January 22, 2010, along with the re-appointment of Kimberly Carlisle and Kerry Ormson.

Chris Rourk regularly works with members of Jackson Walker’s Healthcare Practice Group. This group represents a broad spectrum of healthcare providers and affiliated entities in mergers and acquisition transactions, securities offerings, joint venture transactions, administrative law proceedings, financings, licensure, certification and accreditation matters, litigation, employment issues, FDA approvals and compliance, HIPAA compliance, and general regulatory, reimbursement and compliance matters. Mr. Rourk earned his B.S.E.E. degree from the University of Florida. He earned his M.Eng. from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and received his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.
