Jackson Walker attorney Tyler Self has been elected to the Board of the Houston Bar Association’s Environmental Law Section’s Board for the 2023-2024 term.
Established in 1870, the Houston Bar Association (HBA) was founded to maintain high standards in the legal profession and provide legal education for Harris County attorneys. Since its founding, the HBA, one of the largest metropolitan bar associations in the nation, has expanded its goals to include public service and better access to legal services for all citizens in the Greater Houston area. The Environmental Law Section is one of 26 sections of the HBA and is committed to providing monthly CLE presentations on subjects relevant to environmental regulation, conservation, and enforcement, both at the national and local level. Speakers include, among others, elected officials, regulators, industry executives, and environmental entrepreneurs.
Tyler is an associate in the Environment & Natural Resources practice of Jackson Walker’s Houston office. He previously served as a judicial intern at the Western District of Oklahoma for Judge Jodi W. Dishman and as a legal intern to the Tulsa County District Attorney. He received his B.A. and J.D. from the University of Oklahoma College of Law.
