Steve Moore Named 2017 Editor of Bloomberg BNA’s Texas Corporate Income Tax Navigator and State Tax Portfolio

He will be responsible for reviewing and editing the Texas Corporate Income Tax Navigator as well as the State Tax Portfolio for Texas. These publications are used by tax professionals across the country to help guide their tax strategies.

Steve’s selection for this role highlights his expertise in state tax matters, particularly in planning and controversy work on the Texas franchise (aka “margin”) tax, sales tax, ad valorem tax, property tax value limitation agreements and the insurance premium and retaliatory tax. In the past, Steve has written tax-related articles for the Texas Journal of Business Law and has given speeches on industry-specific tax issues for major CLE programs across the state of Texas.

Steven D. Moore practices tax law in Jackson Walker’s Austin office. He provides tax strategy advice related to business mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures to multi-state businesses across several industries, including oil and gas, power generation and aviation. He also handles administrative hearings before the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts and works with the firm’s litigation group to prosecute judicial resolution of Texas corporate income tax cases.
