TAL-YL Editorial Board Publishes its First Editorial on Sexual Harassment in the Legal Industry

March 1, 2018 | Attorney News

The Young Lawyer Editorial Board of The American Lawyer has published its inaugural editorial on sexual harassment in the legal industry. In 2017, The American Lawyer created the Young Lawyer Editorial Board, selecting up-and-coming leaders from all corners of the legal profession to serve as a voice for the next generation of legal professionals via monthly editorials.

Sara K. Harris, a labor and employment attorney in Jackson Walker’s Dallas office, was one of the 40 esteemed members chosen for the inaugural board. The national board meets each month to decide upon a topic. All members are asked to regularly attend the meetings and to participate in writing at least one editorial per year that reflects the agreed upon views of the board. The editorials are published each month, both in the magazine and online.

The board’s first editorial is entitled “This is What Sexual Harassment in the Legal Industry Looks Like.”

“As a young lawyer, I am honored and excited to serve on the Young Lawyer Editorial Board of The American Lawyer. Having a platform to share the ideas and concerns of young lawyers presents a real opportunity to make our profession better for each other and for our clients.”
