Biography
Abigail Griffith is an attorney in the trial and appellate litigation section of Jackson Walker’s Austin office. Abby handles all aspects of dispute resolution, with a particular emphasis on commercial litigation. Abby is experienced in drafting pleadings and pre-trial motions as well as advocating for her clients in front of judges and mediators alike.
Abby has successfully helped her clients navigate contractual disputes varying from breach of contract disputes to landlord-tenant issues. Abby also has experience representing clients in medical malpractice, trade-secret, and property disputes.
Prior to joining Jackson Walker, Abby served as a legal intern to Judge Bert Richardson of the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals, as well as Judge Lee Yeakel of the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas, where she drafted memoranda for the judges, drafted court orders, and performed discretionary review of pending writs and petitions.
Abby earned her J.D. from Baylor University School of Law, where she graduated cum laude. While in law school, Abby was extensively involved in moot court programs, earning the title of Finalist and Best First Year Team in the Spring 2017 M.D. Anderson Moot Court Competition; Semifinalist in the Fall 2017 Mack Kidd Administrative and Public Law Moot Court; and Quarterfinalist in the Spring 2018 ABA National Appellate advocacy Competition. Abby received her Master’s in Paralegal Studies (MPS) from George Washington University after graduating with a B.A. from Boston University.
When she is not advocating for her clients, Abby is involved in helping the Central Texas Community through Volunteer Legal Services.
