Biography

Adam Aston brings more than 15 years of experience as an appellate advocate and trial litigator to his practice in Jackson Walker’s trial and appellate litigation, special investigations, and governmental relations practices.

Adam has represented clients in complex civil matters at every stage of litigation in both state and federal court. He frequently handles high-stakes appeals and trial matters involving a wide variety of subject areas, including: fraud and negligence, breach of contract and contract interpretation, constitutional law and statutory interpretation, challenges to administrative agency actions and other regulatory matters, and the First Amendment.

Adam has argued numerous successful appeals in the Fifth Circuit, Texas Supreme Court, and Texas courts of appeals, as well as critical motions and closing arguments in federal and state trial courts. He has written more than two dozen briefs in the U.S. Supreme Court and has assisted in six cases argued before the Court. Adam has practiced in federal appellate courts across the country, including Washington, DC and California.

Prior to joining Jackson Walker, Adam spent more than a decade in public service, including the following roles: Principal Deputy Solicitor General for the Texas Attorney General, where he co-managed a team of more than a dozen appellate attorneys; Deputy General Counsel to the Texas Governor; and law clerk for Senator John Cornyn.
