Biography
Courtney Wade is a corporate attorney in Jackson Walker’s Houston office with a practice encompassing mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, and corporate governance matters, primarily in the energy sector and with a focus on the upstream oil and gas industry.
Courtney advises clients on domestic and international transactional matters including raising capital through private placements, acquisition and divestiture of upstream oil and gas assets, production sharing agreements, employment and consulting agreements, and general business matters.
Acting as an advisor and partner in her clients’ success, Courtney regularly oversees the drafting and structuring of a host of transactional documents, including purchase and sale agreements, company operating agreements, membership interests agreements, transitional services agreements, escrow agreements, management services agreements, contribution/distribution agreements, and other related agreements.
Prior to practicing law, Courtney served as a law clerk and briefing attorney in the Texas Fourteenth Court of Appeals, conducting extensive legal research and drafting opinion recommendations for nine justices.
