Biography
Crespin Linton II is an attorney in the Labor & Employment practice of Jackson Walker’s Houston office.
Crespin focuses on execution and results in highly contested matters, bringing end-to-end litigation discipline to various employment matters. He develops case strategies from the outset, helps tailor discovery plans to dispositive issues, manages e-discovery and fact development, and prepares briefing for complex motions, positioning cases for efficient resolution.
Crespin is experienced in handling employment disputes from their inception through summary judgment, including managing written discovery, drafting and arguing motions in state and federal court, and taking depositions. He works on complex noncompete, non-solicitation, and trade secret cases, having experience defending and prosecuting such actions. He has also defended employers against claims under Title VII, Section 1981, the TCHRA, and the ADA, with a focus on discrimination and retaliation claims. In addition, he has worked on cases involving wage and overtime issues under the FLSA and employee classification issues under state law.
In addition to his litigation experience, he has a depth of experience in researching and advising on multi-state employment issues, helping clients successfully complete reductions in force and update non-compete and non-solicitation agreements while complying with jurisdiction-specific requirements. He is often tasked with researching complex employment issues at both the state and federal level.
While in law school, Crespin served as a legal clerk for the Harris County District Attorneyโs office, was a student teacher for Civil Procedure and Constitutional Law classes, and was a case clerk at Jackson Walker.
