Biography
Gabriela Barake is a trial lawyer who focuses on complex business litigation. She handles a wide range of matters, including employment disputes, fraud, contract disputes, defamation claims, media litigation, and fiduciary litigation on both sides of the docket.
Gabriela has represented Fortune 100 companies in high-stakes litigation involving non-compete agreements and trade secret misappropriation. She has successfully sought and opposed numerous applications for temporary and preliminary injunctions. And she has obtained favorable verdicts for clients in FLSA wage and hour cases, discrimination, and sexual harassment cases.
Gabriela has a proven track record of success representing individuals and companies across numerous industries, in all phases of litigation. Her pragmatic approach to litigation enables her to efficiently and effectively achieve her client’s objectives. She handles claims brought under the Texas Covenants Not to Compete Act, Fair Labor Standards Act, Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act and the Age Discrimination in Employment Act. She has also represented clients in mediations, unemployment and wage claim hearings before the Texas Workforce Commission, and pre-suit investigations.
Gabriela is part of a privileged group of lawyers elected a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation by her peers. She volunteers her time at her alma mater, teaching students critical trial skills as a Trial Advocacy adjunct professor.
