Biography
John J. Klein is the partner in charge of the Fiduciary section of Jackson Walker. With more than 40 years of experience in a broad range of fiduciary matters, his practice consists not only of the preparation of wills, trusts, and numerous other wealth transfer technique documents in conjunction with sound financial advice in estate planning, but with the representation of both individuals and corporations in their fiduciary capacities as executor and/or trustee in the administration of estates and trusts. Additionally, Mr. Klein’s counsel is sought by beneficiaries seeking help in evaluating a fiduciary’s actions, both past and proposed.
A substantial portion of the firm’s fiduciary practice involves a broad range of interactions and controversies with the Internal Revenue Service. Mr. Klein has extensive experience representing clients before the Internal Revenue Service, particularly with the Estate and Gift Tax Group, and in the United States Tax Court.
