Biography
John L. Lancaster, III has over 41 years experience representing clients in railroad defense, securities class action litigation, asbestos related litigation, intellectual property litigation, antitrust litigation, products liability, probate, and general business litigation. He was chosen for listing in The Best Lawyers in America, as a Litigator. John was the senior trial partner in the trial of the case that was later before the Supreme Court of the United States as Herman & MacLean v. Huddleston. He tried products liability suits statewide for several national transportation related companies.

On Tuesday, February 10, the Honorable Nikki DeShazo of Probate Court #1 of Dallas County approved the terms of settlement concluding the family’s internal battle for control over two family trusts. The conditions of the settlement include a total of over $50 million for Andrea Simmons Swanson and her lineal descendants.
