Justin Shipley focuses his practice on finance and real estate. His practice ranges from the representation of banks, insurance companies, special servicers and other financial institutions in debt-based financing transactions and restructurings to the representation of real estate investors and developers acquiring, financing and developing real estate.
Justin’s practice is national in scope and his clients include some of the largest financial institutions in the country.
Within the last several years, Justin has been the lead attorney representing lenders on billions of dollars in loan originations, often in the real estate industry.
Outside of the real estate industry, Justin represents lenders and borrowers on a wide variety of debt financing transactions in a host of other areas.
In addition, Justin also has significant experience in the restructuring, workout and foreclosure of troubled loans. His clients in this area range from national banks to special servicers of CMBS loans.

Represents both owners and lenders on the acquisition, financing and development of real estate, coving a broad spectrum of asset classes, including mixed-used properties, multifamily properties, office buildings, retail properties, industrial properties, condominiums and hotels. Also substantial experience with properties which involve low income housing tax credits (LIHTC).
Wide variety of commercial lending experience, most recently in the private equity, construction, technology, equipment-lending, manufacturing and oil and gas industries.
Restructuring, Foreclosure and REO:
Extensive experience helping clients restructured troubled credit facilities and exercise remedies. Experience with both real and personal property foreclosures, including a career which has seen the representation of clients on hundreds of commercial property foreclosures. Post-foreclosure experience in asset management and eventual sale of REO properties.
