Biography
Matthew Rodriguez is a trusts and estates attorney in the Houston office. Matt focuses his practice on representing individuals, families, and fiduciaries in estate planning; probate; estate and trust administration; succession planning for closely held businesses; entity formations; lifetime transfers of assets; and wealth preservation. In doing so, all plans are specifically tailored to accomplish each client’s unique goals and desires, reduce the potential for conflict, and minimize gift and estate taxes. To accomplish such goals, Matt assists clients with the creation and structuring of wills, various types of trusts, powers of attorney, partnerships, and LLCs, and the preparation of gift and estate tax returns.
Matt understands the trust that his clients place in him when they request his assistance with their sensitive estate planning and estate administration matters. For this reason, Matt works closely with the clients’ other advisors to deliver comprehensive guidance and an array of legal solutions to meet each client’s specific needs.
During law school, Matt served as a judicial extern for Justice Tracy Christopher in the Fourteenth Court of Appeals.
