Biography

Michael Farmer is an associate in the Trial & Appellate Litigation practice of Jackson Walker’s Fort Worth office. He offers experience in civil litigation disputes, alternative dispute resolution, and appeals.

In his practice, Michael represents clients from pre-litigation through appeal in commercial disputes, including contract, real estate, employment, oil and gas, insurance, Deceptive Trade Practice Act, and equine disputes. While always maintaining an open mind toward the most efficient and beneficial resolution, Michael is prepared to go to trial and has obtained favorable verdicts for his clients.

While attending law school at American University Washington College of Law, he served as an intern at the Office of the Criminal District Attorney of Tarrant County and as an extern at the Internal Revenue Service Office of Chief Counsel – Passthroughs and Special Industries. Michael was also a student-attorney in the Janet Spragens Federal Tax Clinic, where he represented low-income individuals audited by the Internal Revenue Service.

Prior to practicing law, Michael served as an Arlington police officer for over eight years, including five years as a hostage negotiator for the SWAT Team.
