Tyson Ehlinger is a wealth planning attorney in Jackson Walker’s Austin office. Tyson advises clients on wealth preservation strategies and estate plans that minimize transfer tax, optimize charitable giving, and maintain family harmony. Tyson helps families and individuals with gift and estate tax planning, including trust creation, will creation, and estate administration.
Tyson’s experience includes helping manage family investment partnerships ranging from $5 million to $100 million, reviewing private placement memoranda, operating agreements, and subscription documents. He also has experience in partnership tax planning, designing a $68 million private equity fund’s entity structure and advising clients on complex partnership tax issues and partnership tax returns. Tyson has advised clients on entity selection and business succession planning, including buy-sell agreements.
