The article discusses the result of a survey tallying the Texas firms with the most new partners in 2015. With nine new partners, Jackson Walker tied for first. Brad spoke about his recommendations to make partner. "Anything that makes you of more use to a broader segment of the firm's clients is helpful," he said. Brad is a litigation partner, but he also works with some clients in an outside general counsel role, helping them to avoid litigation. "Litigators don't get the chance to sit down, help to put stuff together on the front end. We are oftentimes the folks you call when things go wrong," he said. Brad understands the practice of law as a service profession and embraces his dual roles as advocate and counselor for his clients. As a partner in Jackson Walker's Litigation and Construction sections, he works alongside clients who are anticipating, pursuing, or defending against lawsuits to identify a clear goal and map out a strategy for reaching it. In his outside general counsel practice, Brad helps clients whose primary purpose is the common good in the nonprofit, educational, healthcare, social services, and religious arenas. He provides turnkey general counsel services to these clients so that they can focus time and attention on serving others. Brad received his B.A., magna cum laude, in Psychology from Texas A&M University - College Station and his J.D. from The University of Texas School of Law.
