Cale McDowell Appointed to UT Vice Provost Search Committee

Jackson Walker attorney Cale McDowell has been appointed by University of Texas Executive Vice President & Provost Greg Fenves to serve as a member of the search committee to fill the position of Vice Provost and Director of the University of Texas Libraries.

The University of Texas Libraries together constitute the third largest publicly supported academic library in the United States and are home to world-renowned special archives such as the Benson Latin American Collection. With support from the Bridgeway Foundation and the Bernard and Audre Rapoport Center, the UT Libraries also play a key international role in the long-term preservation of records of genocide and human rights violations in areas such as Burma, Rwanda, and Guatemala.

Mr. McDowell represents both public and private companies at all stages in a wide array of engagements, including entity structuring and formation, mergers and acquisitions, offerings of debt and equity securities, and general corporate governance and transactional matters. Mr. McDowell received B.B.A., M.P.A., and J.D. degrees from the University of Texas at Austin.
