Edwin Buffmire Elected to Antitrust and Business Litigation Section Council

Jackson Walker associate Edwin Buffmire has been elected to serve a three-year term on the State Bar of Texas Antitrust and Business Litigation Section Council.

The Antitrust and Business Litigation Section of the State Bar of Texas serves Texas lawyers whose practices focus on antitrust or complex business litigation. The Section’s purpose is to gather, improve, and analyze existing laws regarding antitrust and business litigation and antitrust compliance and counseling.

The State Bar of Texas is the fifth largest organization of attorneys in the nation. The Bar is committed to improving and advancing the quality of legal services to the public, protecting the public through the discipline system, and fostering integrity and ethical conduct in the legal profession. Meet Edwin

Dallas associate Edwin Buffmire represents clients in antitrust, class action, trade secret, white collar, and other complex and sensitive disputes in Texas and across the nation. Edwin has built successful strategies for clients in a variety of industries, including obtaining dismissals for insurers in three class actions, defending an energy client against allegations of anticompetitive conduct in the natural gas industry, securing two full defense verdicts at trial for a securities brokerage firm against RICO claims, and defending media clients against a putative nationwide class asserting conspiracy allegations.
