Elise Green and Nicole Brennig Serve as Panelists at the 2016 Endowment & Foundation Forum

November 17, 2016 | Speaking Engagements

The forum provides a free exchange of ideas concerning portfolio planning and investment strategies for endowment and charitable foundations through dialogue-driven panel discussions.

Jackson Walker partner Elise Green of the Austin office participated as a panelist in the session “Investment Outsourcing vs Insourcing: What are the Limits?” The panel discussed the differences between delegating investment management authority to a specific money manager or managers, as opposed to total investment portfolio outsourcing and focused specifically on the pros and cons of delegating total portfolio investment management authority for small-staffed foundations and family endowments.

Nicole Brennig, also a partner in Jackson Walker’s Austin office, served as a panelist in the session “Investing in Private Equity/Venture Capital.” The panel considered issues such as how Private Equity funds can extract better returns through better management, the best opportunities currently in Private Equity and Venture Capital, and who the natural buyers will be for the large illiquid asset portfolios given the shift in investor makeup.
