Meet Larry

Larry E. Glasgow is a widely respected M&A attorney who represents acquirers and sellers in transactions ranging in size from mid-market to in excess of $1 billion. Larry represents clients in the healthcare, energy, banking, trucking, entertainment, hospitality, and technology industries, working with clients coast-to-coast and across international borders. His experience allows him the unique ability to effectively mitigate the issues and emotions that can derail a negotiation. With closing the deal as his main objective, Larry focuses on ensuring all parties involved emerge with the same outcome outlined at the onset of negotiations.

“Without a doubt, joining Jackson Walker is a great decision for my clients and for myself,” Larry said. “I look forward to not only benefitting from, but contributing to the valuable resources of, Jackson Walker’s Chambers-ranked Corporate group to better serve clients.”

Larry is a much sought-after speaker and a widely regarded thought leader in the M&A arena. He is dedicated to establishing and preserving best practices in M&A, and among his many industry activities, he co-founded the American Bar Association’s M&A Deal Points Studies and the M&A Market Trends Subcommittee. He also co-founded and annually co-chairs the University of Texas School of Law’s Mergers and Acquisitions Institute, which brings together practitioners and experts to evaluate current M&A trends, opportunities, and concerns facing the finance, accounting, and legal industries.

Larry has been consistently recognized by The Best Lawyers in America for M&A and corporate law. He has also been listed among the top rated lawyers in M&A and healthcare by The American Lawyer and Corporate Counsel as well as for international M&A by Who’s Who Legal.

Meet Richard

Richard L. Waggoner is a recognized M&A lawyer who counsels sophisticated investors and issuers on private equity transactions, governance, contracts, and general corporate legal needs. He also regularly counsels boards of directors and board committees on matters of corporate governance. Over the years, Richard has advised a number of clients on distressed acquisition opportunities, creation of expansion capital, and strategies to deal with the growing reluctance of banks to fund large and highly leveraged deals.

Richard is known for his high client service ethic and responsiveness and has earned a reputation of being practical and proactive in closing deals. Clients find these qualities valuable, especially when paired with his considerable deal experience, both generally and in specific areas.

Since 2016, Richard has been recognized among The Best Lawyers in America for Corporate Law, and has also been listed in Thomson Reuters’ “Texas Super Lawyers” list for M&A.

“I pride myself on getting deals done as efficiently as possible,” Richard said. “Joining Texas powerhouse Jackson Walker enables me to offer tremendous value to my clients around the world. Jackson Walker has nationally recognized subject matter experts in all areas. My clients are very excited about this move.”
