James Prappas Speaks on Immigration and Rob Harlow Speaks on Legal Issues Involved in Real Property Purchases by Foreign Buyers

The presentation discussed temporary visas, U.S. citizenship and naturalization, foreign purchase of U.S. real estate, and other topics. It was presented at a lunch and learn event to the Keller Williams Realtors International Division.

Rob concentrates his practice primarily in the areas of banking and finance, and commercial real estate. In the banking and finance area, he has documented and closed numerous construction loans, term loans, and loan modifications. Rob has also developed extensive experience representing borrowers in so-called “credit tenant lease” (or CTL) financing transactions. He received his B.B.A. in accounting and finance from the University of Texas at Austin and his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Houston Law Center.

James has over 25 years’ experience representing Fortune 500, middle market and emerging companies in U.S. matters. He has a broad practice in a diverse range of immigration matters and has advised clients on strategic immigration planning and related transactional matters. James has extensive experience in nonimmigrant visas including the international transfer of key personnel and treaty trader/treaty investors, employment based immigrant visas, family immigration, I-9 matters, naturalization and derivative citizenship. He received his A.B., with honors, from Davidson College and his J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center.
