John Jansonius Elected State Bar Director for District 6

Jackson Walker partner John Jansonius was recently elected State Bar Director for District 6 by the Dallas Bar Association.

The Board of Directors oversees the management of the State Bar of Texas and participates in developing and implementing State Bar’s goals, programs, and activities across Texas. Directors serve three-year terms. For more information about the election process, CLICK HERE.

Mr. Jansonius has more than 30 years’ experience in labor and employment law. He focuses his practice on the defense of employment discrimination claims, wrongful discharge claims, unfair labor practice claims under the National Labor Relations Act, and denial of benefits claims under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act. He has represented clients in numerous jury and nonjury trials in state and federal court and has presented oral arguments to the U.S. Supreme Court and several federal courts of appeals. Mr. Jansonius is board certified in Labor and Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He received his B.A., cum laude, from Drake University and his J.D. from Southern Methodist University School of Law, where he was an editor of the Southwestern Law Journal.
