Lionel Schooler Speaks at American Bar Association Dispute Resolution Section Annual Conference

He participated in a panel discussion (which included two past chairs of the Section) discussing “Ethical and Practical Suggestions for Advocates and ADR Professionals,” focusing upon suggestions in the arbitration process. Lonnie also attended and participated in several other roundtable discussions conducted during at the Conference, discussing various aspects of domestic and international arbitration.

The Annual Conference was attended by more than 500 individuals from around the world, and the Section’s programming traditionally features presentations by top practitioners in the fields of arbitration and mediation.

Lonnie speaks and writes frequently on the subject of arbitration. He is a Panel Member of the American Arbitration Association’s Commercial and Employment Panels, also having experience with the resolution of construction and energy disputes. He is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, an international credentialing body for international arbitrators. He recently received the Justice Frank Evans Award from the State Bar of Texas Alternative Dispute Resolution Section for his service to the ADR community. He is the incoming Chair-Elect of that Section for the 2015-16 fiscal year. Lonnie’s practice also focuses upon management side employment law, business litigation and federal appeals.
