Jackson Walker Advises Silos Harvesting Partners in Sale of a Portion of The Campus at Legacy West

April 16, 2019 | Client Results

In December 2016, Silos Harvesting Partners L.P. purchased the former JCPenney corporate campus in Plano, Texas, to convert the property into a mixed-use development renamed The Campus at Legacy West. On April 5, 2019, Japan-based luxury hotel firm Kintetsu Enterprises Co. of America purchased a portion of the additional 55 developable acres of the land from Silos to build the first Miyako Hotel in Texas.

The 10-story, 250-room five-star hotel and parking garage will be situated between the offices of NTT Data Services – for which Jackson Walker handled the lease that won “Best Office Lease” in D CEO’s 2018 Commercial Real Estate Awards – and Toyota’s new North American headquarters on Legacy Drive at State Highway 121.

Managed by Dallas developer Sam Ware, affiliate Dreien Opportunity Partners acquires, improves, and resells existing commercial real estate properties in the Metroplex.

Jackson Walker attorneys Bryan C. Birkeland, Robert J. Reeb, III, and Gaby Rawlings represented Silos in the transaction.
